The demand for renewable energy sources in the world is growing day by day. Much attention is paid to this area with the aim of using clean energy and saving traditional fuels.
In this regard, the Spanish parliament (Ley de Cambio Climático y Transición Energética de España) voted in favor of a new law on renewable energy sources.
The law stipulates that by 2030 the share of renewable energy sources in energy consumption will be 42%, and in electricity production – 74% (in 2020, the share of renewable energy sources in electricity production in Spain will be 44%).
The MPs noted in the bill that the demand for electricity generated from thermal energy should be met by renewable energy sources.
In this regard, it was decided that it was necessary to stop the production of fossil fuels in the country, and it was discussed that they should not be subsidized.
